Alison Scores Long-Term Career Goal with Chartership

Staff development is one of the most important aspects of running a successful business and is one of the hardest for employers to get right.

In December 2016 we shared a news article about our decision to actively encourage employee professional development. The scheme accredited by the reputed Institution of Civil Engineers, provides tailored training for employees to gain the engineering qualifications they need to progress into the next stages of their career.

We are now one and a half years on and are delighted to say that we have a new Chartered Engineer (CEng) as a direct result of this commitment to the ICE training programme.

Alison Furber, who has been with us at Metis since September 2016 revealed her splendid results on Friday 8th June 2018.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time on the Metis training scheme- I’ve had exposure to a wide range of interesting projects and Luke, Simon and Michael have made sure I gained the experience I needed to fulfil the CEng competencies.

I’m so grateful for the support I have received from the whole team and especially my mentor, Luke.” – Alison Furber (Senior Engineer)

Following the news of Alison’s success, we were pleased to celebrate one breezy summer afternoon by all raising a toast to a much-valued team member.
